AI Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Lead based in India.

This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on designing and scaling next-generation Agentic AI systems that enable autonomous reasoning, planning, and execution of complex tasks. You will be responsible for shaping the end-to-end AI architecture, including LLM-powered workflows, multi-agent systems, and enterprise-grade AI applications. The position blends deep hands-on engineering with strategic leadership, requiring you to guide teams while also contributing to critical technical decisions. You will work across Generative AI, machine learning, and cloud-native infrastructure to build scalable and production-ready AI solutions. A key aspect of the role involves integrating advanced frameworks, optimizing model performance, and ensuring robust deployment through MLOps best practices. • Design and architect multi-agent AI systems capable of autonomous reasoning, planning, and task execution across enterprise use cases.
• Build and orchestrate LLM-powered workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, and AutoGen.
• Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including embedding strategies, vector search, and knowledge grounding.
• Design agent memory systems, context management approaches, and long-term knowledge retention mechanisms for scalable AI applications.
• Integrate external APIs, tools, databases, and third-party services into agentic AI workflows.
• Lead prompt engineering strategies and optimize LLM behavior for production-grade performance and reliability.
• Build, train, and deploy machine learning models for classification, prediction, recommendation, anomaly detection, and ranking systems.
• Fine-tune foundation models and LLMs using techniques such as LoRA, PEFT, quantization, and instruction tuning.
• Define model evaluation frameworks using relevant ML metrics and business KPIs to ensure performance and reliability.
• Establish and manage end-to-end MLOps pipelines for training, deployment, monitoring, versioning, and governance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML systems and ensure smooth deployment workflows across environments.
• Deploy and manage AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP using containerized and scalable infrastructure.
• Lead architectural decisions for AI systems while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence across teams.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to align AI solutions with strategic objectives and innovation goals.

Requirements:

• 8–10 years of overall experience in software engineering with strong exposure to production systems.
• At least 4+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering and deploying production-grade AI solutions.
• Proven experience building Agentic AI systems, autonomous agents, or LLM-powered applications at scale.
• Strong expertise in Large Language Models, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of RAG systems, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search technologies.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and practices, including CI/CD for ML, monitoring, and model governance.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with ability to guide technical teams.
• Ability to translate research and emerging AI advancements into scalable production systems.
