Cloud Engineer (AWS / DevOps)
Job Description

Work on AWS-led transformation projects with strong DevOps and automation focus
Contribute to end-to-end delivery across multi-environment cloud platforms
Due to the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens or individuals with active security clearance, or those who are eligible to obtain clearance.
About the role
You will play a key role in delivering cloud engineering solutions across large-scale transformation programs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud environments leveraging AWS and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and support cloud-native solutions on AWS
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML and classic)
Develop and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
Support containerisation using Docker and microservices-based architectures
Manage deployments across multi-environments (Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, Prod)
Collaborate on solution design, technical specifications, and delivery planning
Ensure operational readiness through runbooks, documentation, and automation
Support Linux-based environments and scripting (Shell/Powershell)
Contribute to proof of concepts, estimation, and solution design activities
Required Experience / Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines (Build/Release, YAML)
Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
Experience with containerisation (Docker) and microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK)
Working knowledge of JSON/YAML for configuration and pipelines
Experience managing multi-environment deployments
Strong scripting skills (Shell / Powershell)
Familiarity with Linux systems administration
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
Experience in .NET full stack development
Exposure to cloud automation and DevOps engineering practices
Understanding of cloud enterprise architecture and service management
Experience with IT infrastructure operations in complex environments
