Creative Director (New York)
Job Description
The Creative Director will guide the creative direction of both the Spring Health brand and our member-facing creative, which incorporates our clients’ brands. They will serve as a key partner to Marketing, Product Design, Client Success, and the broader organization - ensuring a creative strategy that’s compelling and cohesive across audiences, channels, and mediums.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the Spring Health brand creative strategy across all touchpoints internally and externally
- Develop brand positioning through powerful, distinctive, and relevant creative executions across mediums and for various audiences (including members, B2B customers, employees, and talent stakeholders)
- Partner with internal stakeholders to refine and clarify our voice, brand guidelines, and creative assets, while ensuring the brand is consistently executed and aligned with our strategy
- Lead, inspire, and mentor the creative team
- Ownership of scaling and optimizing the creative team and creative assets as we grow
- Oversee work generated by the internal team, freelancers, and agency partners
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across audiences to understand their needs, hold each other accountable, and align priorities - while inspiring and influencing how the brand is expressed
- Be a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team
What we expect from you:
- 7+ years experience leading creative strategies and teams
- Experience leading in-house creative teams for start-up companies required
- Experience working with well known brands in an agency or in-house environment a plus
- Demonstrated ability to bring to new brand positioning through creative executions across mediums and for various audiences
- Experience across the all forms of brand expression: print, OOH, packaging, events and experiential, digital, social media, video, and motion; and across a range of audiences
- Experience with developing and optimizing systems, tools, processes, and workflows for creative teams and aligning teams to a strategic vision
- Ability to present and sell concepts and creative strategy across all levels of leadership and to align with diverse stakeholder teams to drive results
- Highly accountable leader who is energized by solving big business challenges through impactful creative
- Ability to expertly manage multiple projects and large volumes for a number of in-house and external clients
- Proactive self-starter and team player who will thrive in a hyper-growth start-up
- Strong attention to detail, execution, and follow-through
- Lead by example, ready to dive into the weeds on execution -- but able to zoom out and navigate high-level strategy.
- Ability to work in our NYC office as needed
The target salary range for this position is $149,900- $183,300, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
