This is an exciting opportunity for a digitally driven ecommerce leader to shape and scale a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand’s online customer experience. The role focuses on owning the full ecommerce ecosystem, from site merchandising and conversion optimization to platform management and UX strategy. You will work cross-functionally with creative, marketing, finance, and operations teams to deliver a seamless and engaging digital shopping journey that drives revenue growth and customer loyalty. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Ideal candidates are analytical, customer-focused, and passionate about building exceptional ecommerce experiences that blend functionality, storytelling, and brand identity. The role also offers significant ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to build and mentor a growing ecommerce team in a remote-first setting.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the overall ecommerce strategy and own the direct-to-consumer website experience, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand positioning, and customer expectations.
  • Manage site merchandising initiatives across homepage, category pages, collections, and product discovery experiences to maximize engagement, conversion, and product visibility.
  • Drive conversion rate optimization efforts by analyzing customer behavior, funnel performance, heatmaps, session recordings, and testing opportunities across the shopping journey.
  • Develop and execute A/B and multivariate testing strategies to improve key performance metrics such as conversion rate, add-to-cart rate, checkout completion, and customer retention.
  • Own the ecommerce product roadmap, including feature enhancements, integrations, platform improvements, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary owner of the Shopify storefront, managing site performance, troubleshooting issues, maintaining app integrations, and coordinating with external developers or agency partners.
  • Lead UX strategy across digital customer touchpoints by leveraging customer insights, usability testing, and journey mapping to create intuitive and engaging experiences.
  • Partner closely with creative, marketing, finance, and operations teams to support promotional campaigns, product launches, content planning, and inventory objectives.
  • Build and mentor ecommerce team members and external partners while fostering a culture of experimentation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent ecommerce priorities in leadership discussions by providing strategic insights, performance analysis, and recommendations for future growth opportunities.
  • Requirements:

    • Proven experience leading ecommerce growth within direct-to-consumer, retail, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Shopify and ecommerce platform management.
    • Demonstrated success driving measurable conversion improvements, revenue growth, and customer engagement initiatives.
    • Experience managing external developers, agencies, or cross-functional technical partners through clear project direction and communication.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as GA4, Shopify Analytics, or similar ecommerce reporting platforms.
    • Experience using conversion rate optimization and experimentation tools to improve digital performance.
    • Strong understanding of UX principles, customer journey optimization, and digital merchandising best practices.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, ownership-driven approach to problem-solving and growth.
    • Strong visual and brand sensibility with an appreciation for customer experience, design, and storytelling within ecommerce environments.
    • Ability to thrive in a remote-first and highly collaborative work culture.
    • Interest or experience within fashion, accessories, lifestyle, or consumer products industries is highly preferred.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive annual salary ranging from $145,000 to $175,000 USD based on experience and qualifications.
      • Fully remote work environment within the United States or Canada with flexibility and autonomy.
      • Three weeks of paid vacation annually plus five additional flex days.
      • Annual health spending account allowance.
      • Annual wellness and menstrual health reimbursement support.
      • Product allowance and employee perks related to brand merchandise.
      • Home office setup reimbursement to support remote productivity and comfort.
      • Opportunities for domestic and international travel related to events, retreats, and photoshoots.
      • Collaborative and mission-driven culture with opportunities for growth and leadership development.
      • Inclusive and equitable workplace environment focused on sustainability, creativity, and innovation.
