OVERVIEW
We are seeking a strategic business development manager to help in managing Instacart’s partner portfolio by identifying and engaging with players in a variety of different consumer-based industries (media, telco, health and wellness, etc.) to acquire new customers and support achieving Instacart’s growth objectives.Â
The role entails developing partnerships strategies, sourcing and negotiating high impact deals, as well as managing executive-level partner counterparts. The role interfaces very closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Policy, Finance, etc.) and plays a key role as a main business counterpart of Instacart's Growth Product and Engineering organizations.
ABOUT THE JOBÂ
- Develop growth partnerships strategies to acquire new customers through product, distribution and marketing dealsÂ
- Evaluate and execute new growth partnerships with various industry players in media and telco industry
- Advise on new products and features to reach new audiences and grow partnerships
- Manage a portfolio of partners, including launching and ongoing management of dealsÂ
- Own the day to day relationship with partners across the portfolio
- Drive business reviews with partners and ensure the delivery of high impact resultsÂ
- Provide a strategic business and partnership perspective to the product and engineering teams
ABOUT YOUÂ
- 7+ years of business development or partnerships experience in tech or related industries
- Experience sourcing and pitching new partnerships
- Experience in negotiating non-standard business or corporate development agreementsÂ
- Track record in managing complex partners at executive-levels
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated strategic and financial acumenÂ
- Experience working with product and engineering teams
- Experience with subscriptions services is a plus
- MBA degree preferred but not requiredÂ
