This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer based in India.

This role is a key part of a global IT organization responsible for designing, supporting, and optimizing internal IT systems and employee-facing technology services. You will work across infrastructure, automation, and support functions to ensure seamless digital operations across multiple regions including the US, EMEA, and APAC. The position blends hands-on technical support with systems engineering and automation, with a strong focus on improving employee experience and reducing operational friction. You will play a critical role in maintaining secure, scalable IT environments while also driving workflow automation and self-service solutions. The environment is fast-paced, global, and highly collaborative, requiring strong ownership and adaptability. This role also acts as a bridge between distributed IT teams, ensuring consistency in processes, documentation, and service delivery. It is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while improving systems at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and support scalable IT systems and automation initiatives, including onboarding/offboarding workflows and SSO expansion.
  • Manage and maintain core IT infrastructure while ensuring security best practices and operational reliability.
  • Handle Level 1 and Level 2 IT support tickets across global regions (US, EMEA, and APAC), ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide onsite IT support at the India office during scheduled working hours as required.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including IT orientation and access provisioning.
  • Execute system migrations, tool transitions, and integration of new IT platforms.
  • Develop automation workflows using integrator.io and other API-based tools to improve efficiency.
  • Build and maintain self-service IT solutions to reduce ticket volume and enhance employee experience.
  • Maintain clear and detailed IT documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases for global teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT service delivery and operational processes.
  • Act as a regional liaison between global IT teams to ensure consistent standards, communication, and handoffs.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT systems engineering or enterprise IT support.
    • Strong experience administering Google Workspace and supporting related collaboration tools.
    • Familiarity with enterprise tools such as JAMF, Microsoft Intune, MS Office, Zoom, Slack, LastPass, and Jira/JSM.
    • Experience with IT security practices, including audits and CIS benchmark compliance.
    • Hands-on experience with scripting, automation, and API-based workflow development.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS and Windows environments.
    • Experience working in globally distributed environments across multiple time zones.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness to work afternoon/evening IST shifts as required.
