The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with a global, distributed development team, collaborating with product management, QA, and stakeholders to transform complex requirements into reliable, secure, and high-performance software. The position involves full-stack development, microservices architecture, cloud technologies, and the handling of sensitive data in compliance with regulatory standards. This is a hands-on role that balances technical leadership with mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Accountabilities:

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications and microservices to support lab operations, clinical trials, and business applications.

Collaborate with architecture, product management, and QA teams to ensure scalable and reliable system design.

Review code, provide mentorship, and guide junior engineers on best practices and technical standards.

Translate stakeholder requirements into functional, secure, and extensible applications.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, development, deployment, and production support.

Contribute to process improvements, evangelize best practices, and support compliance initiatives related to handling PHI and secure data.

Maintain documentation, training, and knowledge sharing to support technical and operational excellence.

Requirements:

BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

7+ years of software development experience, with expertise in building secure and scalable web applications.

Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming in Java and experience with frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.

Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred), containerization (Docker), and RESTful APIs.

Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and microservice architecture.

Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Sass, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS a plus.

Familiarity with CI/CD processes, Linux fundamentals, and quality assurance best practices.

Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.

Ability to operate in a regulated environment and maintain compliance with privacy and security standards.
