Infrastructure plan using state of the art econometricML models risk simulations and business intelligence We are hiring an exceptional Data Scientist to focus on creating cutting edge econometric ML demand and capacity need models with focus on MSFT AI offerings This <strong>Applied Sciences II<strong> position will focus specifically on the GPU forecasting to support the AI needs for Microsoft and OpenAI Additionally they will have to be able to leverage their software engineering skills to connect to various upstream and downstream systems ensuring the forecasting plan matches the develop econometric ML models<li> <li>Connect to and build APIs for turning data science models into a full production system<li> <li>Understand fundamental business dynamics impacting demand and develop automated statistical solutions for forecasting<li> <li>Ability to develop E2E models in R Python including data manipulation model building and business applications<li> <ul><p><strong>Qualifications<strong> <p> <p>Required Qualifications <p> <ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Statistics Econometrics Computer Science Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field AND 2+ years related experience eg statistics predictive analytics research<li> <ul><p>o OR Masters Degree in Statistics Econometrics Computer Science Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field AND 1+ years related experience eg statistics predictive analytics research <p> <p>o OR Doctorate in Statistics Econometrics Computer Science Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field <p> <p>o OR equivalent experience <p> <p>Other Requirements <p> <p>Ability to meet Microsoft customer andor government security screening requirements are required for this role These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings <p> <ul><li>Microsoft Cloud Background Check This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hiretransfer and every two years thereafter<li> <ul><p>Preferred Qualifications <p> <ul><li>2+ years professional experience in applications of advanced statistical analytical techniques or equivalent<li> <li>2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including but not limited to C C++ C Java JavaScript or Python<li> <li>MS in Data Science Economics Statistics or related field<li> <li>PhD preferred<li> <li>Experience in using statistical packages and standard libraries in R dplyr ggplot etc Python NumPy Pandas etc or equivalent<li> <li>Experience in SQL and NOSQL databases<li> <li>Extensive fundamentals in statistics and eagerness to learn advanced statistical techniques and machine learning<li> <ul><p>Applied Sciences IC3 The typical base pay range for this role across the US is USD $94300 $182600 per year There is a different range applicable to specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area and the
