<p><b><strong>About the Job <strong><b> <p><ul><li>Coordinate with external service providers to prepare US salesuse tax Canada GSTHST amp Australia GST compliance returns<li> <li>Responsible for preparing and maintaining indirect tax salesuseexciseVAT calendars <li> <li>Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate indirect tax compliance document requests<li> <li>Coordinate track and respond to various incoming tax notices and bills <li> <li>Coordinate with external service providers to prepare US property tax filings and payments business registrations and renewals and various gross receiptexcise tax compliance returns<li> <li>Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining reconciliations via analysis of the general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness<li> <li>Perform monthly reconciliations of indirect tax payable accounts to underlying return details general ledgers and systems of original entry<li> <li>Prepare analyze and investigate fluxes in monthly compliance data<li> <li>Analyze data from internal systems and compare against additional datasets to assess completeness of data<li> <li>Lead special projects affecting the following areas within indirect tax controversy compliance planning operations and policy<li> <li>Communicate directly with external advisors and internal stakeholders including accounting legal engineering operations and finance on a variety of initiatives<li> <li>Assist in process improvement projects relating to the transmission of sales and use tax data used within return preparation and filing<li> <li>Perform tax research and document finding in technical memorandums <li> <li>Assist the Tax Manager and Business Development team with merger and acquisition review and integration of businesses to centralized compliance processes<li> <li>Responsible for preparing and managing Indirect and Property tax forecasts<li> <li>Responsible for exemption certificate maintenance process relating to vendors and customers<li> <li>Ability to identify potential compliance issues and recommend solutions<li> <li>Drive ongoing process improvements focusing on automation efficiency and analytics in partnership with our Tax Technology team<li> <ul><p><b><strong>About You<strong><b> <p><p><em>Minimum Qualifications<em><p> <ul><li>General understanding of accounting principles including but not limited to general ledgers trial balances ERP systems etc <li> <li>Ability to simultaneously work on projects with competing deadlines<li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Oracle Vertex and other data analytical tools a plus<li> <li>BS degree in Accounting Tax Finance or related field of specialized study <li> <li>Interest in learning about indirect tax and the tax operations of a fastgrowing
