<p>Global Science amp Technology Inc GST is seeking a <strong>Science Program Analyst<strong> to join our team supporting the National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service NESDIS Center for Satellite Applications and Research STAR which is NOAAs premiere research office for developing the satellite algorithms needed to transform satellite observations to environmental measurements <p> <p>This position is located at the STAR headquarters office in College Park MD and engages with a wide range of support functions This position is approved for a hybrid model of onsite and telework <p> <p><strong>Position Summary<strong> <p> <p>We are seeking an individual to serve as an advisor and analyst to STAR leadership You will be a team player and function well working across multiple areas and on a variety of tasks You will focus on helping to develop program strategies identify research gaps and priorities and understand user needs You will bolster STAR front office communications across NESDIS You will help to map STAR partnerships and product lifecycles You will help coordinate and guide the STAR research portfolio to meet broader NOAA and NESDIS priorities You may collaborate across NESDIS to help with performance metrics reporting You may contribute to annual and other periodic reporting requirements You may support a Science Council in various functions Overall there are many functions for this headquarters centered role and you will gain great exposure to NESDIS NOAA and US environmental satellite products and services <p> <p>Good communication skills are key to success in this role Attention to detail good time management competency with Microsoft product suite especially Excel spreadsheets Smartsheet experience is highly desirable Understanding of government strategic planning processes is a significant plus Experience developing and managing project and action trackers <p> <p><strong>Required EducationExperienceSkills<strong> <p> <p>A Bachelors Degree in Public or Business Administration Environmental Science andor Policy Meteorology or Oceanography or other fields relevant to or synthesizing skills engaged with federal science agency operations strategic planning project management A minimum of 10 years experience with BSBA or 8 years with MSMA <p> <ul><li>Ability to meet deadlines in a highly dynamic environment <li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of scientists technicians and managers<li> <li>Experience with MS Word Excel PowerPoint skills are required<li> <ul><p><strong>Selected applicants will be subject to a government background investigation<strong> <p> <p>GST offers competitive salaries vacation sick and holiday leave major medical dental life longterm and shortterm disability insurance 401K retirement plan tuition assistance and opportunities for employee career growth and development <p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age race color religion sex national origin disability veterans status sexual orientation and gender identity GST is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer<p>
