You will be deeply involved with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, weld/laser design, peripheral device programming, PLC programming, machine power-up, debug, power-up and validation / buyoff. Duties include the following:Design, implement, and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, design and program HMIs, robotic programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with build and electrical teams.Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or Axis Automation build specifications using standard techniques and approaches.Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment.Education and Experience Requirements5+ years related experience/training and/or Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year College/University in related engineering field.Willing to travel 10-20%; domestic and international travel.5+ years experience with PLC's, HMI, Robot, AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and/or Vision Systems 5+ years of experience working with AutoCAD Electrical (or similar software) to design electrical layoutsSalary: $100,000-$125,000Additional Compensation: Overtime pay, travel pay, year-end bonusBenefitsHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid-time off401(k) with employer matchParental leave Our team has decades of automation experience, spanning hundreds of projects and thousands of automation configurations.Position Title: Senior/Lead Controls EngineerPosition Description: The Senior Controls Engineer will work with a group of Controls Engineers, Project Managers, and shop personnel to design, implement and document control systems for various types of automation and robotic equipment.
