Senior Consultant – Azure DevOps Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant – Azure DevOps Engineer in India.

This role combines hands-on Azure DevOps engineering with client-facing consulting and Agile delivery leadership. You will work directly with enterprise clients to design, build, and optimize cloud-native CI/CD pipelines while ensuring smooth project execution using Agile methodologies. The position requires a strong balance of technical depth and delivery management, as you translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions and ensure high-quality implementation across environments. Operating in a consulting-driven model, you will engage with stakeholders, manage expectations, and contribute to successful cloud transformation initiatives. You will also play a key role in improving DevSecOps practices, automation maturity, and delivery efficiency across multiple engagements. This is a high-impact role for professionals who enjoy both engineering excellence and client interaction in a fast-paced consulting environment.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for cloud-based applications.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
• Configure and manage Azure DevOps projects, repositories, pipelines, and security permissions.
• Support Azure cloud workloads including App Services, AKS, Functions, SQL, and Storage services.
• Implement DevSecOps practices such as automated testing, security scans, approvals, and governance controls.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues, pipeline failures, and environment-related challenges.
• Manage Agile delivery processes using Jira including boards, workflows, and reporting dashboards.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Translate business requirements into epics, user stories, and actionable development tasks.
• Engage with client stakeholders to track progress, manage risks, and ensure delivery alignment with expectations.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Azure DevOps engineering, cloud delivery, or DevOps roles.
• 3+ years of experience managing Agile delivery or IT projects using Jira.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software delivery lifecycles.
• Proven experience in client-facing consulting or professional services environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms and DevSecOps practices is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of integrating Jira with DevOps tools like GitHub or ITSM platforms is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as AZ-400, AZ-104, PMP, or CSM are an advantage.
