QualificationsBS degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience; 10-15 years of technical and management work-related experience in the telecommunications industry with emphasis on vendor partner management, fiber transmission methods, optical networks, critical infrastructure, project management, and direct customer interface; The individual will manage a team of vendor operations managers;; The individual will manage multiple third-party suppliers; The position will require outstanding critical thinking and decision-making process, the anticipation of risky business situations with deliberate and swift response to same; The position will be expected to compose and manage both expense and capital budgets in excess of $1M. Build the vendor partner operations teams with the talent, skills, and experience needed to meet Zayo goals. Meet or exceed operational service level performance objectives (installation, repair, damage prevention, unit cost reduction, OPEX & CAPEX budget management). Meet service (commit dates hit, intervals, and production) and financial objectives for large and transactional projects. Provide accurate project cost estimates. Manages multiple and demanding critical priorities. Take ownership of everything that happens and fails to happen in our North American vendor performance, including work quality, project delivery, OPEX and CAPEX budget performance, cost reduction measures, and short-to-long term business strategies.
