Partner with internal counsel to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements by examining existing laws, regulations, and updates to legal requirements. BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE) Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in HR, Business, Accounting, or equivalent work experience required; Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or similar certification preferred At least 7 years of progressive experience in Benefits required; experience managing benefits in manufacturing or supply chain facilities preferred Demonstrated background leadership responsibility for a team of Benefits professionals required ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE) Expert knowledge of benefits practices and procedures for the implementation and administration of organization-wide self and fully insured benefits plans, programs, and policies. Manage leave of absence program and provide oversight to 3rd party administrator; provide regular feedback and modifications on administering leaves of absence including Personal, Military, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, etc. Effectively manage employee retirement (401k) and deferred compensation programs; evaluate vendor partnerships, participate in 401(k) committee meetings, and provide education to plan participants. Proficient ability to understand and contribute insights to a long-term strategy while remaining focused on tactical, short-term objectives. Critically examine benefit plans to ensure they align with employee emotional, physical, and financial well-being through targeted programs and initiatives.
