This position reports to Marisa Hamsik - General Manager, Strategy & Market Insights, Offsets & Emerging. The role will interact with multiple functions and teams within CNE and across Chevron, including Corporate Affairs, Trading, Corporate Strategy, Communications, relevant Chevron business units and other stakeholders to gather data and provide analysis, input and advice on a range of offsets topics. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Provides analysis and insights to inform and support development of evergreen business strategies and executive communication.Develops and drives market intelligence to inform commercial decision making, such as competitor/stakeholder trends, market dynamics, supply/demand, pricing, technology and regulatory/policy drivers.Engages with multiple functions and teams within CNE and across Chevron to gather data and provide analysis, input and advice on a range of offsets topics.Works with the commercial technical team on offset quality trends, including tracking methodology and standard developments and market implications.Leverages networks to identify trends and inform thinking, for example industry analyst firms, quality standards bodies, net zero initiatives and offset standards/registries.Participates in and supports external engagements, such as conference attendance, executive speaking opportunities and communications.Participates in and supports corporate affairs efforts, such as helping prioritize and address key issues or policy engagement in select geographies. Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law. The role will be responsible for developing and driving a market intelligence platform that delivers insights that inform commercial decision making, such as competitor/stakeholder trends, market dynamics, supply/demand, pricing, technology and regulatory/policy drivers. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in sustainability, business, communications, engineering or related relevant field.7+ years working in carbon markets in analytical or investment rolesExtensive network in carbon markets, climate policy and/or climate financeExperience working in dynamic business environments and ability to synthesize information and deliver concise insights to leadership.Exceptional analytical and verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in sustainability or related field10+ years working in carbon markets in analytical or investment roles Relocation Options: Relocation may be considered.
