<p><b> All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family <b> <p> <p> Benefits from Day One <p> <p> Paid Days Off from Day One <p> <p> Career Development <p> <p> Mental Health Resources and Support <p> <p><b> Our promise to you <b> <p> <p>Joining AdventHealth is about being part of something bigger Its about belonging to a community that believes in the wholeness of each person and serves to uplift others in body mind and spirit AdventHealth is a place where you can thrive professionally and grow spiritually by Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ Where you will be valued for who you are and the unique experiences you bring to our purposeminded team All while understanding that <b>together<b> we are even better <p> <p><b> Schedule <b> MF Days <p> <p><b> The role youll contribute Financial Coordinator <b> <p> <p>The Financial Coordinator under the supervision of the Practice Manager coordinator insurance referrals verification and authorization prior to patient care as well as providing financial counseling and education to patients and their families In addition the Financial Counselor provides oversight of the front office assuring that patient flow including inpatient outpatient and office visits are coordinated for a smooth flow When necessary fills in at the front desk Prepares and reviews reports assuring that financial aspects of the Practice are handled in a timely manner <p> <p><b> Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities <b> <p> <p> Ensures all Insurance authorizations and benefits are obtained prior to a patients office visit Hospital procedureadmission referral patients seen in the Emergency Department and patients seen as an Inpatient or as an Inpatient Consult <p> <p> Establishes a task report from the NextGen system that identifies patients who have been added to the schedule to review insurance referral verification or authorization <p> <p> Maintains knowledge of Insurance Companies that requires referrals authorization andor notification of the office visit inout procedure inpatient stay or consultation <p> <p> Completes insurance verification via telephone andor online verification systems such as Availability or Insurance web site <p> <p> Ensures all insurance benefits and authorizations are properly entered into the patients chart in the NextGen System <p> <p> Provides Financial Education to patients andor patients families to ensure proper financial arrangements have been made <p> <p> Meets with all Self Pay patients or patients with high deductibles to discuss payment options <p> <p><b>Qualifications<b> <p> <p><b> EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED <b> <p> <p> Requires a high school diploma or GED <p> <p> Intermediate knowledge of computers internet use and typing skills required <p> <p> Must have basic understanding of Medical Terminology and demonstrated knowledge of CPT and ICD9 coding <p> <p> Requires at least 2 years experience in healthcare setting that includes front office experience with charge entry and insurance verifications<p>
