An experienced Asset Recovery Specialist II will be responsible for collections, necessary investigations/research, account full monitoring, account workflows, charge-off decisions, and detailed tracking of these more complex accounts affected by:Bankruptcy Document system of record with customer’s bankruptcy information Communicate with attorneys, trustee, attorney staffComplete charge-offs in accordance with RAS/OL policyAssign account for repossession, as directed Total Loss Monitor/manage accounts when notified collateral is wrecked or stolen Handle insurance claim process,Point of contact for customers and insurance companyComplete Letter of Guarantee, review settlement amountsAssist customer with filing of GAP claim if warrantedStrong understanding of the handling of insurance deficienciesDeceasedMonitor and manage accounts when notified the customer or co-buyer is deceasedGather vital information identifying the point of contact and determine who has possession of the unitDocument system of record and update accordinglyMaintain contact with the deceased’s point of contact until the account resolvedOther tasks assigned which may require deviation from routine processes or procedures The Asset Recovery Specialist II will be expected to manage the end-to-end business process which may include multiple communications with the customer, attorney, executor, beneficiary, insurance company, agent, or adjuster.
